about

The H3O was formed around 1980 in Sheffield, England by Andrew McKenzie and ex-Cabaret Voltaire member Chris Watson. Watson dropped out in 1987 (although he continues to produce some excellent environmental recordings) while McKenzie soldiers on, now reportedly living in Iceland, as an incredibly prolific and equally uncritical collagist. His work varies from quite good to boring beyond belief, and earlier this year I put together an extensively-edited CD-R of what I felt was his best work. There are two or three websites devoted to The Hafler Trio and each is infuriatingly unhelpful. The liner notes also go to great lengths to spread deliberate misinformation. Sorry, that's about all I can tell you.

These tracks come from The Hafler Trio's "Mastery of Money" (1992), "Bang! An Open Letter" (1984), "Kill The King" (1991) and "Dislocation" (1990).

about

Anode Seattle, Washington

I've recorded under the name Anode since 1972, in much the same way that Winnie the Pooh lives under the name Sanders.

What I've recorded may not be 'music' to everyone's ears, since it includes "organized sound" and soundscapes, both real and imagined. I make no apologies; my skill set is limited.

My authentic soundscapes can be found over here:
