about

In 2015 Frank Maier of Vinyl-On-Demand Records (VOD) in Germany decided he wanted to put together a boxed set of "American Cassette Culture." I helped him collate the PNW contingent (Leimer, Barreca, Young Scientist, Anode) while Ken Moore helped with the Easterners (himself & Don Slepian). Galen Herod and Steve Roach contributed themselves. Everybody was far more deserving of inclusion than me. So why was this set released on vinyl, instead of oh say cassette? Can't help you there.

VOD also insisted that I be listed as "Anode Productions" instead of just Anode, I guess(?) to prevent confusion with the dozens of other pretenders who have since stolen my name :^)

about

Anode Seattle, Washington

I've recorded under the name Anode since 1972, in much the same way that Winnie the Pooh lives under the name Sanders.

What I've recorded may not be 'music' to everyone's ears, since it includes "organized sound" and soundscapes, both real and imagined. I make no apologies; my skill set is limited.

My authentic soundscapes can be found over here:
